Pfaffman Family
Location: Section 81
The beautiful bronze plaque ornamenting this granite memorial is signed 'W.D. KENNETH ARCH[itec|T, 'SCIulptorj. J. NOUVEAU', and bears the mark of the foundry, Gorham Co. of Providence. The central portion of the monu¬ment serves as a crypt for cre¬mated remains. When Phillip Pfaffman came to Worcester in 1885, he was a carpenter, but having — in his own words — “married the boss's daughter," he became a successful textile manufacturer with mills in Cherry Valley on Lynde Brook.
